For New Skeptics

Since the humble beginnings of Skeptics Global Warming, I’ve tried to cater to all audiences:  from the seasoned skeptics, to those on the fence and even to those that are still in their skeptical infancy.  With this blog recently cresting 1300 posts in the first nine months, it can be difficult to find exactly what’s relevant to you, the reader, that made the decision to be skeptical of global warming and climate change.

To help you along in your learning journey, I want to highlight some posts here that provide the essentials of learning the basics of global warming so that when you visit here again, or another skeptic’s blog, you’ll have a better grasp of what others are discussing.

Are you still confused about some of the terms being thrown around in discussions of global warming?  Don’t know the difference between cap-and-trade and a carbon tax?  And what does anthropogenic mean with regard to climate change?  Most, if not all of your questions are answered in my Global Warming 101 post.

If you’re a little further down the global warming road than needing the basic terms explained, I put together a two-part series on climate change - a beginner’s guide, if you will - to help explain many of talking points used by the climate change alarmists and what the truth really is behind all of their claims.  Global Warming, A Skeptical Beginner’s Guide Part I and Global Warming:  A Skeptical Beginner’s Guide Part II

After reading over both skeptical beginner’s guides, you should have a basic understanding of terminology used in the climate change debate as well as an overview of the major talking points most frequently used by proponents of the theory of global warming.
